Anna, my husband's nephew's wife, reading on a Sunday afternoon at her Mother-in-law's house.

Her mother-in-law and my husband's sister, Pauline, on the phone, a scarf on her head as she was undergoing chemotherapy for non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She has since passed away from the after effects of the disease when her immune system was low due to a common cold. She was a lovely loving woman and sister-in-law who is greatly missed.

Venezuela Coast at Celia and Ralph's

 

In the jungle, gouache on paper

Here is Venezuela while we visited our friend's place two hours south of Caracas before Chavez came into power. I am glad we got to visit when we did. The country has great beauty but I was somewhat disturbed by the extremes of poverty. There were daily flights of pelicans coming past every evening. Nature was abundant.
